About Me
Hi, I'm Lewis, 26, in Leicestershire - UK. I'm a Developer at Next PLC and a first class honours graduate in BSc Computing Science from Aston University (July 2019).
I have 8 years worth of experience as a developer, starting off at RSConnect full-time then part-time alongside my degree, then joined Next's Graduate Scheme in 2019. I'm striving to improve my skillset and I am currently in progress with a reputable full-stack development course on Udemy - I made this page as part of the course! If you would like to know more or contact me, my contact details are on my CV.
Cheers!

JimBot is an embodied conversational agent. This means he has a lip-syncing virtual human and UI frontend with a chatbot backend. He acts as a personal trainer that takes the user preferences and displays suitable timed workouts. These workouts include visual demonstrations and muscles affected diagrams. The chatbot was made using the DialogFlow framework by Google, and the character was created using Adobe Fuse and Mixamo. Unity was used to create the application, and was coded in C#.
MovieSearcher is a C# Windows Form application that connects to an open-source MongoDB data store to retrieve and display information about movies based on the user input. Users can search for specific titles, search by actor, search for a random title or view the top rated titles on the data store.
Interests
Outside of software development, I play the guitar (electric and acoustic for 15 years), football, table tennis and pool. I go to the gym to maintain fitness levels and have completed three charity fun runs, most recently being the Leicester Race for Life in July 2019.
